Lawyers without Borders

I launched the new website at http://www.preskilllaw.net/ . Feel free to let me know what you think. I am also developing a site involving several solo attorneys.

This brings me to the following thought. The dependence of professionals on a large institutional law firm is waning. Many of the affiliations you see in a larger firm are tenuous--basically people sharing office space. Other large firm relationships are troubled because each person has increasingly as much traditional power as the next. Each person has access to the same resources as the other to a great extent. The Solo/Boutique culture allows the consumer to find valuable legal services at a fraction of the cost ($250 an hour, not $750 an hour). So, technology and media has created a fairly level playing field. The only thing left is experience and perception.
